Aipiri School

AIPIRI SCHOOL is a short and popular designation of a special education program for young activists, especially who work at the grassroots level in several base communities in rural and rural areas of Papua. It is called 'Aipiri School' because most of the learning activities are for the first month (September 24 - October 21, 2018) was held in Aipiri Village, East Manokwari District, a small village on the northern coast of the Bird's Head, on the edge of the Teduh Ocean (Pacific), about 20 km from Manokwari, the capital of West Papua Province.
The program is organized by the Nusantara Spots Association (BARA) which has been carrying out the aspiration to become one of the 'best learning centers' in Papua (a Papua' s Center of Excellence, abbreviated as PaCE).
ARMY organizes this special education in collaboration with Indonesian programs Volunteers for Social Movement (INVOLVEMENT) as part of the Indonesian Society for Social Transformation (INSIST) network of Social Transformation Schools (STS). Therefore, the official and complete name of this program is INVOLVEMENT-PaCE. Aipiri School is the 1st batch of INVOLVEMENT-Pace, because the program which will take place for 8-9 months is planned to be held regularly every two or three years.
